The Kitchens

What you see before you is a picture of a bowl of fruit...

What do you do to access the vast Kitchens of Hogwarts where House-Elves are eager to do your every command?

Tickle the pear of course!

Zabby was walking along with the others in her dorm. She stopped in front of the painting. She looked around. "Well, what are we waiting for?"

She ticked the pear. She offered a fake gallant sweep of her arm. "After you."

"Thank you," Helena grinned at Zabby, bowed and hopped inside.

"Thanks." Diana tailed, hopping inside as well.

Once in there, Elves suddenly surrounded the Gryffindors.

"Miss, what can Jingky do for you?" The closest one said with wide eyes.

Zabby grinned. She could get used to this... "I'd like a pastery, and a pumpkin juice, please." She looked at the others and an elf ran off to get her want she wanted.

The elf that ran off said, "Here you go, Miss. Any thing else, Miss? Jingky can get it for you."

((Lol. Elves are fun but creepy to play))

"I'd like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup." Helena said. The elves wizzed past her. "And some prinkles on that!" She added.

"I'd like some strawberries and whipped cream, please." Diana requested.

Seconds later, their food treats appeared in front on them.

"So can I," Helena said scooping out her ice cream and taking a bite.

Zabby grinned. "Now that sounds good." She looked at her hips and thighs. "Anything I eat goes straight to my thighs... Oh well... My only fault," she said, laughing. "Here goes my diet..." she muttered. To Jingky, she said, "French Vanilla ice cream with caramel, please."

Not 30 seconds later, the House Elf was back with her order.

Zabby took a bite and practially melted... "I forgot how much I love ice cream..."

"By the way," Diana said dipping her strawberries in the wipped cream. "Where is Lycoris?"

Zabby shrugged, taking another bite of ice cream. "I thought she was following us..." She glanced around. "Maybe she got lost?"

"Probably," Helena shrugged. "Her loss..." And kept eating the ice cream.

"Shouldn't one of us go look for her?" Diana looked back.

Zabby was worried. "Maybe..." She glanced around again. "But I'm sure she'll find her way..."

((where is Lye, anyway?))

"I guess you're right..." Diana said reluntantly.

"Stop worrying, Diana," Helena said. "No one will pop out and get her."

Zabby nodded. "Helena is right. I mean, it's not like the Headmistress is in a coma and everyone's dying, and she's in danger."

"Fine," Diana said and ate a strawberry. "You know, I love strawberries."

Zabby stole one off Diana's plate. "Sadly, their my favorite too!" She dipped it in the caramel and popped it in her mouth. "Pure heaven..." she sighed.

((Im feeling hungry for real and I really want a strawberry))

"Indeed." Diana said smiling.

"So, Zabby," Helena said. "What's up with you?"

Zabby shrugged. "I've been looking for my real dad. I found my mom in our second year. The Gallaghers adopted me. When I turned 11, they decided to tell me the truth. I think I took it fairly well..." She shrugged again. "I remember locking myself in my room and crying that they weren't my real parents."

"Wow, you were adopted..." Helena said in awe. "Why doesn't anything cool happen to me?"

Diana put a hand on Zabby's shoulder. "That must have been tough."

Zabby looked up, tears in her eyes. "Cool? Cool?! You think finding out you were adopted would be cool?" She looked over at Diana. "It was. I met with my mother the summer before our second year. I haven't seen her since. She refused to tell me anything about my family history or anything...So whenever I do reports on my family, I do it on the Gallagher family tree."

Helena reeled at Zabby's reaction. "Whoa, I'm sorry I just meant..."

Diana roll her eyes, "Yes, don't mind Helena, Zabby, she'd got the sensitivity of a boy."

"So are your adoptive parents Wizards too?" Diana asked.

Zabby shook her head. "No..I shouldn't have reacted like that, Helena." She turned to Diana, and wiped her eyes gently, hoping her mascara hadn't smeared. "Yeah. They are. That was one condition my real mother had when she gave me up."

Diana nodded, "I think you mean your biological mother, I think your real mother would be the one who took care of you."

Helena felt rather awkward now. "Er... have some ice cream? It'll make you feel better..."

Out of no where, a house-elf appeared with ice cream.

Zabby nodded. "I think you're right. Natara, my birth mother, wanted me to be raised by a wizarding family. I don't know how she managed to get that, but she did."

She accepted the ice cream and took a small bit. "Helena, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to over react..."

"No it's my fault, I have no filter." Helena said.


"It's true, she really doesn't," Diana added.

Helena glared.

Zabby gave a watery chuckle. "I've noticed." She sighed. "It just brings up some interesting memories."

"Hey, look on the bright side," Helena said. "At least your family doesn't threaten to disown you if you date a certain someone."

It was Diana's turn to glare.
