Lachesis' bed chamber ((December 2018))

The large room was rather messy, with various bolts of black cloth strewn about as if a storm had whirled through. Several half-eaten plates of various meals sat amid the cloth and somewhere amongst everything else, Lachesis sat, her legs propped up on a covered table.
She had a goblet of blood-red wine in her hand and a map in the other, wandlessly taking notes on the nearby wall.

"Lachesis. Do you ever worry about your messes?" her part-time lover, part-time annoyance asked, disapprovingly staring at the mess. "What are you doing with all of the cloth?"

Lachesis smirked at him, her dark eyebrows lifting ever so slightly.
"Mon lapin... you do worry. Therefore why should I?" and despite the fact that he wanted to disagree, she had a point.

Agostino sighed, clearing a seat and then resting back against the wall.

"A new hunt, my dear?" he asked. Lachesis immediately cursed in French and threw her goblet at him. The silver cup clanged off of the wall above the cringing man's head and cold wine dripped down over his head and shoulders.

"Never call me that!" she murmured, pacing now. Had Agostino not been used to her outbursts after so many years, he might have left the room and never returned, but he knew Lachesis was a cobra that spit at her own...but never bit them.

"Sorry, ma belle." he whispered, happy that the red liquid seeping into his robe was wine and not blood...

"I must visit a friend..." Lachesis muttered, her dark eyes all but glowing. Something had doubtless put her in a bad mood. Maybe a frustrating client or a victim she was not certain of killing. Whatever it was... Agostino wanted to leave soon.
He had been hoping to find her in a better mood... but should have known better the first time he poked his head in the door.

Lachesis plus black dragon-hide corset plus wine plus map equaled one dead victim or one dead Agostino...
