The Three Broomsticks

The Three Broomsticks is one of the local pubs in Hogsmeade. It is known for its delicious butterbeer.

Kiara jumped of the carage first and went around to help Eglantine.

"Welcome to Hogsmeade"

Eglantine nodded and allowed Kiara to help her out of the carriage. "It seems like a lovely town." she exclaimed, looking around slightly.

"Yes though I think yu will have a different opinion if you decide to whatch student on there hogmeade trip, this Place get so crouded."

Pointing a across the street.

"3 broom sticks it right over there"

"Crowded?" Eglantine disliked the idea of the seemingly peaceful town overflowing with people, but having been a professor in three different schools, she knew how to handle crowds. "Is no place sacred?" she quipped, using the cane to help her make her way toward the Three Broomsticks.

Kiara laughed

"Hogsmeade is a small Village Eglantine not a shrine, besides the buisness here thrive on Hogmeade weekends. I am just not one for huge crowds in small places, Makes me very clausaphobic"

She said as she opened the door to the pub.

Eglantine followed Kiara in and looked around, obviously uncomfortable. "Have you been here many times?" she asked hopefully.

"A few times,since I started working, but I came here all the time when I went to hogwarts"

On the other side of the pub was Hannah.

"Hey Hannah how is it going?"

Hannah turned to her,

"Hey Kiara, or headmistress know right?"

Kiara nodded, "Yes Hannah meet Eglantine DeLanquar Professor of Transfiguration, and Head of Gryffindor house, Eglantine meet Hannah Longbottom landlady of 3 broomsticks"

"A pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Longbottom." Eglantine greeted not offering to shake her hand, after all she needed both of hers to keep her steady on her cane. "What a lovely establishment you have."

"Thank you, pleasure to meet you as well Professor, now want to have seat anything to drink ladies" asked Hannah.

"Just a tea for me Hannah, you know me"

Then she turned to Eglantine.

"Get anything you want, my treat"

"A small firewhiskey would be nice." Eglantine ventured. She had not drank anything from the wizarding world since her time at Beauxbatons. She took a seat, trying not to wince as pain shot up her sides from her legs.

"Alright coming right up" said Hannah.

A minute later Hannah came back with their drink.

"Enjoy ladies"

Kiara smiled "Thanks Hannah"

Looking at Eglantine's fire whiskey she said.

"I don't know how you drink that stuff"

Paling in embarrassment, Eglantine glanced down at the floor before using both hands to pick up the cup. "Pain gives the ability to do a great many things." she muttered, downing the firewhiskey in one gulp. It burnt her throat and almost brought tears to her eyes, but almost immediately helped deaden the pain in her legs and side.

Kiara took a sip of her tea,

"I see, sorry I can't join you, but I am highly alergic to alcohol, last time I tried a fire whiskey it nearly killed me"

Sighing she placed her cup on the table.

"Now for the reason I asked to here, I am worried about you. Don't think I didn't notice. You look exhausted, did you rest at all last night?"

"I do not drink intoxicating beverages on a normal occurrences." Eglantine hastened to assure Kiara. After all she was a teacher and drinking would interfere with her ability to be a good example to her students.

"Thank you for the consideration, but I am fine. My legs and side almost always hurt."

Kiara raised her eye brow

"You didn't answer my question, and you don't look fine. Please Eglantine i asked you here so you would find it easier to see me as a friend and not as the Headmistress of Hogwarts. I care about your well being and I don't want you to become sick from pushing your self to hard."

Kiara looked into Eglantine's eyes.

"Please,"

"Very well." Eglantine sighed. "I did not sleep last night. I had a talk with Professor Viper, a great deal of paperwork to finish and several students needed assistance." She looked down at the empty cup and ran her hand over her forehead.
"I will take a nap this afternoon."

Kiara smiled,

"You better, If you don't I will have you sedated in the hospital wing... Now that is out of the way, You said you talked with Viper, how did that go?"

"Terribly. She dissolved into tears and begged me to help her repeatedly. I was reminded of my brother and nephew by her behaviour, so desperate and yet, she was in such need." She sighed. "I told her about excessum to please Lord Voldemort, but nothing of the bond."

Kiara nodded, and sutlely cast silencing spells around there table.

"I see, do be careful though, Voldemort isn't stupid he might figure it out."

Sighing Kiara rubbed her neck and thought about Viper, still she was a bit of a wild card, and unpredictable. she wanted to trust her but it wasn't possible at the moment.

"I believe he will if he has not already figure it out. My pain is shared by him and therefore a bond would be one of the only explanations." There was a note of fear in her voice.
"I trust Professor Viper to do any and all she can do to extract redemption. It is understandable why she is so hateful. As she believes that her only hope in life is to appease Lord Voldemort. Also the ministry has placed itself on her death list thanks to taking her job from her."

Sipping her tea and looking much calmer then she felt inside she said.

"Yes Mrs, Granger-Weasley i believe was reasponsable for that, which I am not surprised. In the few times I met her she always had an opinoin about some type of issue."

Then she gasped as she felt a presence she hadn't felt in a while.

"Saturn?"

Viper raced after the phoenix in the streets of Hogsmeade. She had released it, intending for it to fly into the headmistress's window but the bird had opted for a trip to hogsmeade.

She was getting very frustrated with the bird and was tempted to go to depserate means when she saw it fly into the Three Broomsticks.

"What the hell," Viper thought to herself. "I could use a drink after tonight."

No sooner had she said her Phoenix's name the magical bird flew in the window.

"Saturn! thank goodness i was afraid Voldemort would keep you there forever just to torment me. Welcome back my friend"

Eglantine watched the bird soar into the room and almost hexed it. Thankfully Kiara choose that moment to talk to it and she slid her wand partially back into her pocket.
"Your missing bird?"
