"Fine.. what do we say then?"

Amy looked up at Ig "You don't say" she said not exactly knowing what to say or what would offend him. He looked crazy anyway.

"Looks like he could get mad at anything we say though" she thought over.

Just...um...don't appear to take offense, and definately don't yell at him. And yes, he probably will get mad anyway, but he'll get less mad...Hopefully.
"Uncle, are you duelling this half?" Ana desperatly cast around for a change of subject.
"Yes I am...Remember that slimy kid last year, the son of some famous banker or something?" Ignatius smirked.
"Yes..."
Ignatius' grin broadened. "Well, he's got two black eyes and a broken leg now."
Yes...He gets violent...A lot.

"Lovely..." Amy thought, then a thought struch her.

"Who are you dueling next sir?" Amy asked as politely as she could concidering she thought the guy was a nut case.

Ignatius scowled.
"That idiotic unspeakable...court two. We'll see how much she's laughing when her precious protocols are been sent to her bedside at St. Mungos."
Ana winced almost inperceptivly. "Sounds...good. We were just going to see Father in the top box actually..."
Ignatius waved a hand. "Well don't let me keep you, go and see your dad. Oh, and Ana."
"Yes uncle?"
His eyes grew darker. "Don't let anyone defeat you in combat."
"I don't plan to uncle..."
Quick, lets escape...

"That guy is a nutcase Ana, hey how I get threatend with being disquaifed for using my legimency, and he get to kill people legally in this?" Aiden thought over indigantly as they walked away.

Because mental and physical damage are very different things in the rule book. Mental damage is harder to repair, and physical damage is often easily remedied. And, no-one argues with the guy who has been known to blast people through walls for getting him the wrong size of shoe.
Ana continued walking briskly, keen to put as much distnace between herself and Ignatius as possible.

"Still.... you can't easily bring people back from the dead either" Aiden thought.

As they walked up to the top box quickly after Ana.

Yes...but it's still legal...for some reason. Traditional way of settling disputes...according to my old grandfather. Unsurprisingly, he is now dead.
Ana appreciated the irony in the death. Serious irony.
She began to climb the stairs into the top box.
"Do you reckon Viper's still up there?" She muttered out loud, indicating upwards with a thumb.

"Probably..." Amy said.

"I wonder if she is going to duel someone" Aiden asked.

Ana shrugged.
"It would be quite funny if she and DeLanquar fought...but she wasn't invited, so she won't be here. They could duel at duelling club though..."
Ana sniggered. "That would be hysterical."

"Yes it is always funny watching teachers duel isn't it" said Aiden with a laugh.

"Speaking of duels, I want to see who we are dueling in the next round" said Amy

"We can ask Dad..." Ana reached the top of the stairs, and glanced around.
"Father!" She called across to Reginald.
He turned and strode towards them. "Back again so soon?"
"Father who are we duelling next round?" Ana asked.
Reginald laughed. "We are still drawing up the secondary tables. They should be done in a moment." He pointed at the cluster of the five judges, including Horatio, all around one table arranging duels.

"Hey Ana they get to choose who we fight? it isn't just random?" asked Aiden as he waited for the results.

Vaights don't leave anything to chance...And trust me, it is biased.
Horatio stood up and approached Reginald.
"We've decided."
"Excellent." Reginald waved his wand and the timetable duplicated itself and flew to the arenas.
Horatio and the other judges left for their respective courts.
Reginald examined his timetable. "You three aren't duelling for a while...aparently Ana you are duelling a second cousin by the name of Boris...kill him please."
He smiled. "Most awful child. Amy, you are duelling Ignatius...Aiden you are duelling a Nathaniel Cross...some small-clan pure-blood family."

Amy looked at the name of her next opponate and paled slightly

"Biased is a understatment Ana they want to kill me!! " thought Amy.

Amy looked up at Reginald Vaight, "If I live through my next fight, who ever paired me up with Ignatius Vaight is going to regret it..."

Reginald chuckled quietly. "I would watch out who you tell that to. Straight talk may work very well at school, but here is an entirely different ball game. And not many people either mean what they say or say what they mean."

"No kidding... but I going to be fight in this guy I am going to say whatever I want while I still can" Amy grumbled.

"Just great I get to duel the nutcase"

Then she looked over at Aiden's opponent "hey you got Mystery guy, well at least you have a chance to beat him. well that if Iggie here doesn't break my neck" Amy mumbled the last part.

Aiden nodded he was nervous about Amy fighting Iggie to.

"Well, we'd better get back...we don't want Ig getting annoyed because we're late...The duel won't even have started." Ana began to walk towards the stairs.
Reginald nodded and returned to his seat, overseeing events.

"So," Nathaniel walked over to the twins. "You're my next opponent."

Aiden nodded "Yes, may the best one win"

Amy sighed again "We'll at least your Opponat is sane, mine is a nut, to bad I can't switch"

Ana grinned.
That's Uncle Ig...In a nutshell...yes, pun intended... Speaking of Ig, we'd better hurry back to the court.
Hurry it up people, you guys all have to duel soon! Amy, you're first, then Ana, then Aiden...Now hurry! This duel's nearly over. Darien's thoughts interupted Ana's and she rolled her eyes.
We're on our way.
Ana hurtled back to the court. "How long have we got?"
Darien pointed into the arena, where Ignatius was already waiting, an unfriendly glint in his eye and smirk on his face.
"Good luck Amy...He looks like he's in a crazy mood."

Amy winced in pain as she fell down yet again. She was rather beat up, her wand arm was broken, and her left hand was just hanging on to her wand. Her left Ankle was sprained making is hard to move.

Then a explsosion spell sent her flying backwards and she hit the wall. She felt a warm skicky liquid flow down her head and she start to lose her vision.

"Not good..." she mubbled as she attempted to stand up not succeding at all, falling to her knees again she dropped her wand almost ready to pass out.

Nathaniel watched the match between Amy and Ig clutching his wand in anger. Figures that Vaights wouldn't fight fair.

He cast a silent "Confundus!" at Iggy. He wouldn't expect an attack from behind and tt was a crowed area, no one would suspect him.

Horatio darted forwards.
"Enough!"
Ignatius was disarmed and declared winner. He left quickly, being appluaded by a very intimidated crowd.
He began walking, then tripped and fell, rolling into the middle of the stands. There was a crack as something snapped.
Confused faces surrounded him, and someone began to heal his leg.
Horatio sighed and turned to Amy. He muttered spells, healing her head and sprain.
"Miss Avalon? Can you hear me?"
He motioned for Aiden to approach.
"Miss Avalon is your arm broken?" He crouched next to her.

Amy nodded to his question, "my arm and wrist sir"
