A sign is pasted to the door with large bold letters painted on it in Green, Yellow, Blue and Red.

"Welcome all students to the Phoenix Edge Club"

As a subtitle under the large letter are the details.

"Any student who possess musical abilities or simply desire to watch others is free to join. Snacks will be provided as will soda..."

Michael entered the classroom - now turned into the Phoenix Edge meeting place since classes were over for the day, with his modified electric guitar in hand. Of course, it was in its case. He'd even taken the time to tune it before leaving the Common room with it.

As he gazed around the room, the sixteen-year-old Hufflepuff could barely contain his excitement. "This is gonna be awesome!" he declared to nobody in particular.

"Could be..." Bella laughed, she had entered the room at about the same time as Michael had made his happy exclamation. "So where is everyone else?" she asked looking around.

As if following a cue, Horatio appeared from underneath a table and beamed at the two students. "Ah, this is wonderful! A Hufflepuff and a Slytherin. I was expecting only one house or maybe two to show up... this makes for an excellent beginning." he glanced at Michael guitar. "A guitar and you play, my dear?" he asked Bella.

She nodded. "A piano, sir."

"Ah, lovely. Well make yourselves comfortable." Horatio stated sweeping his arm toward a bunch of chairs.

At the feminine voice, Michael turned around and smiled when he noticed Bella standing there. "Hey," he greeted her with a crooked grin. So she did come... perhaps all this talk he'd heard of the Slytherin house was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo... from what he understood, Slytherins were branded as the bullies of the school, yet Bella treated him fine. At least, thus far.

"They'll turn up, I guess," Michael shrugged. It wasn't like the club had an RSVP or anything, though her question was a valid one.

The Hufflepuff grinned and nodded to Professor McKevin in greeting. "Thank you, sir," he offered and, with a glance to Bella, headed over to the chairs.

Boris couldn't help but see the flyers for a music club called 'Phoenix Edge' whenever he ventured through the castle. Curious, he decided to investigate. Perhaps Diana Casillas played a musical instrument, and he didn't know about it? Only one way to find out.

It took him a little while to find the exact room where it was to take place. However, the sign upon the door he was approaching was unmistakable: this was where the group met. Not quite sure if he really wanted to participate or not, Boris stood by the door and watched the goings-on with a slight interest glimmering in his nearly-onyx orbs.

Bella seated herself in one of the chairs, draping her long legs over the arm and sighing. "So, what do you think we'll be doing?" she asked Michael, leaning forward slightly so that she could hear his reply.

She looked up when Boris entered, and immediately singled him out as A) Russian and B) a champion. A briefly rather bored smile crossed her face and she nudged Michael, while pointing at the Russian boy.
"Isn't that Boris whatever, the Russian champion?"

"Well, this is predominantly a music club," Michael joked lightly from his chair, though he did take rather keen notice of how she sat. "I'm going to assume we'll be playing music, though there'll be games and stuff, too." The teenager flicked open his guitar case and removed the instrument from its confines. He hadn't even noticed the Durmstrang Champion.

When Bella nudged him, Michael turned his head to look at her and noticed her gesture toward the door. The Hufflepuff found a pair of boots, and glanced up the length of the other boy. He looked to be a good year or so older than him, yet clearly had that 'tough guy' look Michael tended to emulate in his clothing. "Yeah... I think so. I can't remember his last name, either. Didn't it start with a 'K'?"

Boris noticed the pair, and barely heard them talking about him despite the fact he was right there. " 'Kaminksi' мое имя," he told them from his spot at the doorway, his voice deep and hardly deviating from that depth. The teenager still wasn't quite sure about entering. Sure, he was still a student, but... he still wasn't quite certain about what Phoenix Edge was.

Horatio hurried over to the newcomer. "Come on in! All are welcome!" Horatio assured him rather cheerfully. "Do you play a instrument? Or are you just here to watch? Only Mr. Blackwood and Miss Rosier are here so far, but feel free to join them. More students should be showing up soon. And I invited Professor DeLanquar to join us as well. Later on, we will be having a party, I made a cake and the house elfs got us some soda and hot chocolate."

Bella giggled lightly as Professor McKevin went on welcoming the Russian student. "Kaminski... same as the hot professor who's cozied up to Viper. Two guesses if their are related." she muttered at Michael.

Boris blinked in surprise at the old man's energetic welcome, trying to take in the rapid-fire English. Oh, sure: he was fairly fluent in the language. However, he predominantly spoke his mother tongue and German, with English coming next and French following that. His elder brother, Dmitri, could speak ten different languages despite his young age of twenty-eight. As his family's "golden boy," Boris wanted to learn double that.

The teen nodded mostly to Horatio's statements, and glanced at the other students when they were mentioned. He had no idea who Professor DeLanquar was, but assumed it must be one from here considering not many of the other professors from Durmstrang had come along for the trip. Then again, said professor may have been from Beauxbatons...

"I... do not play an instrument, per se," Boris admitted a little awkwardly. "I sing a little, though. Mostly bass." The thought of a party got the young Russian's attention. At the back of his mind, he wondered if Nick knew about all of this? Deciding to take the wizard up on the offer, Boris made his way at a leisurely pace toward the pair.

Michael couldn't help but chuckle at the professor and the foreigner's reaction. Confusion flitted across his face at the mention of a 'hot professor' but settled as he remembered who she was talking about. The boy wasn't quite sure what made the DADA professor so appealing, so he shrugged. The part about there being something going on between two professors had his attention in an instant. "I thought that was just a rumor," Michael snickered. "Did they really...?"

"They do sorta have the same eyes, don't they? Only... his are more black than the Professor's... I'd say they're related somehow," Michael replied in a hushed tone.

The Hufflepuff nodded in greeting to the Russian delegate.

"Yeah, they really...snogging and I believe they share rooms by now..." Bella whispered, her face a lit with that glow all gossipers get. She looked up when Boris approached and gave him a perfectly angelic smile.
"They do have the same eyes. But the professor is better looking. Still you've got your own charms." she added, looking back at the Hufflepuff.

Michael let out a low whistle and was about to ask who caught them snogging, not to mention inquire as to what the blazes snogging was, but was cut off when the Russian teenager approached. He shrugged at her opinions on the two Russians in question, not really sure what to say, but he did grin hugely when she said he had his own charms.

"Vould you mind if I sit here?" Boris asked politely since they were in the company of a teacher, gesturing to the chair on Bella's other side.

"Not at all, please be seated." Bella stated, far more politely than was her norm. She was in a good mood and liked the smile that had crossed Michael's face at her comment. "Do you play an instrument, Mr. Kaminski?" She asked, not really that curious but deciding not to be rude. After all, Professor McKevin had ears like a fox...

"I regret to say that I do not play any particular instrument... but my grandfather insisted I at least learn to sing," Boris explained, not at all ashamed that apparently this Michael - whom he thought was tuning a guitar - knew how to play an instrument where he did not.


"What do you sing, Mr. Kaminski?" asked Michael, oddly enough mirroring Bella's feigned interest.


"I do not have a specific preference. But I sing mostly bass, and in German," Boris replied concisely. "Vot of you, Miss Rosier? Do you play an instrument?"

"You sing in German? How interesting." Bella exclaimed, turning in her seat, so that her feet touched the floor. "Yes, I play the piano and I sing as well...but not in front of anyone." she smiled at her last comment, remembering her last singing lesson with her aunt, Professor DeLanquar. Oddly enough the woman had sung nicely, despite her at the time depression. The humour had come when Bella, 10 years old at the time had sung the wrong lyrics to the wrong melody...
