Hall leading to Reginald's Study

This hall is identical to the hall/corridor leading everywhere else.

But it only has one door at the end. And that leads to Reginald's study.

"You ungrateful brat!"

Ana darted out into the corridor, Reginald's eyes crackling with anger as he stood in the doorway to his study.

Ana regretted coming to see him. She didn't speak as she knew it would further enrage him, just trying to edge away.

Reginald reached her and grabbed her by the shoulders, shaking her vicously. "If you fail this initiation I have planned for you, I shall personally make sure you NEVER see the light of day again, and my deal with your mother is void! Understand?"

Ana numbly nodded, unable to speak.

Reginald released her and returned to his study, slamming the door behind him. Ana remained where she was, sinking to the floor and quaking.

"Nice one sis." Darien's voice was full of triumph and amusement as he emerged from where he had been lurking behind a curtain.

Ana leapt to her feet and ran back to her room, tears spilling over and out of her eyes, unable to face her brother.

Darien, leaning against the wall, laughed.
