Hogwarts~ November 18th 2019 (fixed future)

Kiara coughed and coughed as she sat up in her and Ciaran's bed at Hogwarts, it was full moon out side and she was have an awful time breathing, and it didn't help that she was six months pregnant with her and Ciarans first child. Wanting relief from the constant coughing and actually get a breath in, she got out bed and slowly walked to the bathroom to get a glass of water. With a shaky hand she filled the glass with water took a sip. It brought a little relief, she was able to get a few deep breaths in.

The she saw her reflection in the mirror and gasped faintly, she looked dreadful, she had dark circles under her eyes, and her skin was a unhealthy shade of white. Her dark hair clung to her forehead and sides of her face from a thin sheet sweat that covered her face.

With trembling hands she turned the tap on and waited a little bit while the water warmed up, then she splashed some water on her face... Hoping that whatever this was she would feel better in the morning.

Ciaran was dressing. He had his boots on and his nightwear over top, with plans to sooner or later change into his robes. After all, he was due in court tonight for a dark wizard he had captured.
"Kiara." he called, wondering where she was.
"Are ya right lass?"

Kiara smoothered a cough as she dried her face off, she looked in the mirror again, she still looked like hell and her hands were still shaking.

Sighing she stepped out of the bathroom, "Just tired dear... can't sleep" she said in a incredibly horse voice not at like her normal soft tone.

Ciaran noted the hoarseness in his wife's voice and rose from the bed. "Ya want something from Juria?" he asked, concerned but not overly since he was a bit restless himself... "Or maybe some warm milk?"

Kiara walk back into the bedroom, momentarily concidering going to Juria. but then shock her head.

When he suggesed the milk she sighed and coughed again... finally sucking in a breath, "No thank you Dear... Restlessness isn't the reason I can't sleep" she said faintly looking out the window revealing a bright fullmoon.

Sitting down on the bed she leant her head on the head bored, she was exshusted as she rasied a trembling hand to her forehead.

Ciaran forgot about the court case. The full moon and Kiara never got on well and with her being pregnant he was even more worried. And should have been so much sooner.

"I'm getting Eglantine and Juria." he murmured, hurrying to grab his bathrobe.

Kiara looked as if she going to protest, by getting up th follow him, however she stopped mid motion when a wave of pain came from her abdomen, however she couldn't even gasp as she was over come by another coughing attack. Only indication that could seen that she was in distress was the her hand was clenched on her stomach.

Ciaran turned to glance at his wife as he hurried to the door. What he saw shocked him into releasing the door and hurrying back to her.
"Kiara?" he murmured, deeply concerned about her hand clenched against her stomach.
"What is it?"

Being currently unable to breathe properly and the pain not helping in the least, she reframed from talking. Instead she concentrated on her magic and made letters appear in the air.

"It hurts" it read.

A tear rolled down her face.... now she was scared.

Ciaran had never felt fear as violent as the fear that struck him at that moment. It was the lightning fear that gave men strength to leap walls. But he tried his best to remain calm... for Kiara.

"Here. Lie down, lass." he stated, helping her lay back. "Don't move." now what? now what? He didn't dare leave her alone... and all magical thoughts left his mind as he began to pore over muggle techniques.

Kiara through what ever will power she could dig up managed to stop coughing and calm her self enough to speak when she saw Ciaran struggle with to do next.

"the floo Dear.... use the floo" she whispered.

The pain in her abdomen already ebbing away, not that that relieved her any. As if memory served her right. it had felt like a contraction.

Right! Ciaran would have hit himself had the situation not required immediate action. Flying to the floo, he knelt down and tossed in a handful of powder.

Horatio came to mind first and he shouted, "McKevin's Chambers" into the flames. Poking his head in he called for help.

Immediately he wished he hadn't as Eglantine, rather than Horatio hurried forward. He had been hoping for...what had he been hoping for. More than less he dragged Eglantine through the fireplace and helped her brush herself off.

"What is it?" Eglantine huffed, pushing him away. Never before had she been dragged through the floo network and it was not something she had enjoyed. Besides, she had been forced to leave her twin daughters unattended. At only three months, her darlings could not be left like that.

"Kiara." Ciaran finally managed. Eglantine hurried forward conjuring her cane, as it had been left behind.
"Are you going into labour?" she asked.

Kiara swallowed at Eglantines question, she looked at Ciaran fearfully... No! this couldn't be happening not tonight! not now... it was to early.

She finally forced her self to nod her head, "I think so... please Eglantine please stop it, it is to early..."

Another wave of pain over came her effectively steeling what breath she had managed to catch.

With a cough mixed with a bit of a cry of agony, she could not breath through the pain which made it all the more worse.

Two words appeared in front of her, conjured out of desperastion and a deep fear. "Help me!"

Eglantine took a deep breath and gently laid a hand on Kiara's forehead, trying to soothe her.
A complex diagnostic spell told her that the potion Kiara had to take for the full moon was responsible for the early labour...
"It is in her bloodstream..." she whispered to Ciaran.

Ciaran's didn't even feel the tears begin to drip down his cheeks.
"We have to save them." he whispered, pain ripping through his heart as Kiara cried out in pain.

The pain slowly edded away again and she was able to catch a small tight breath. She leaned into Eglantines warm hand, her own skin was cold and clamy, her breath came out in short gasps.

If Kiara had looked and closer to death then she would have been. The combination of the baby and the full moon were taking it tole on her.

Tears streamed down her face when she saw Ciaran crying, and a huge amount of guilt entered her heart when she heard Eglantine whispered daignosis.

"Please.... Eglantine please save my baby" she pleaded. The she knew the child was killing her.

Eglantine's fingers curled around Excessum and slid it from her pocket. "I cannot save him if he is bound to death..." she whispered. Tears came to her eyes, but she held them back. Excessum could not save those who were already destined to die...

"I am so sorry." She whispered, casting a spell to help Kiara breath a bit better.
Ciaran would have liked nothing better than to toss the small woman from the room. How dare she say she couldn't save their son!? Did she truly believe she could control death and life? But he did nothing save wrap his arms gently around Kiara.

Kiara brought her shaky hand up to Ciaran's held it tight, her breathing shaky and lighter but less forced then before.

She felt safer in Ciaran's arms, she felt his warmth and love and she lived off it.

"I don't want.. you to use Excessum Eglantine, just try to stop my labour...please... " she managed to say before another wave of pain over came her, much stronger then the last time.

She groaned and clenched her abdomen holding back the screams that threatened to escape her throat...

When she brought her hand back she saw blood on it... Looking in horror....."No..no.no" she whispered.

Not only was she going it to labour, she was bleeding out to, it may had been to late.
