Divination Tower

Marcus chuckled. "No problem." He said. "It's always good to have a challenging person to deal with every once in a while." He then looked back over at the other table. "Anyway, it was nice meeting the both of you. Maybe I'll see you guys around later?"

Cosette nodded smiling.

"You think I'm challenging!?" Raven said. Cosette's smile turned into a frown and did not like were this was going.
"Eh, I guess your right," she continued. Cosette sighed in relief happy Raven wasn't going to start anything.

Marcus chuckled at Raven's remark and headed back over to his table. "Bye!" He called out to them. he then went to sit back down at the other table. "Well, that wasn't too bad." He said to the two girls.

"Lucky! the first time I met Raven she was mean!" Delilah was mad. She crossed her arms and pouted. Becca agreed with Delilah, "You got it off easy."

Marcus laughed. "Well, I AM a seventh year." He stated. "So I've had much experience dealing with Slytherins. They're not too bad once you figure out how to get under their skin."

"So true!" they both smiled.

Marcus smiled. he liked these two. they were both easy to talk to. "Yeah, I'll never understand what their problem is against muggleborns, though." He said thoughtfully.

"I know! we're no different from them!" Becca agreed with Marcus since she is a muggleborn.

"Exactly." Marcus responded. "It seems a little absurd, really." He looked over at them. "It's like they think they have to be cruel just because they're Slytherin."

Taylor walked up the stairs to the class in a very cheerful mood for some odd reason. He came up and smiled, "RAVEN! How is my lovely sweetheart doing this fine afternoon!?" he said greeting his beat friend. "And hello my lovely lady," he was talking to Cosette who was also his friend.

He looked at Becca and Delilah, "Oh dear god not those 2 again!" he said loudly, "looking at their faces makes me want to leave!" Taylor was being dramtic as normal.

Marcus looked in Taylor's direction. He looked back at Becca and Delilah. "Who's the bozo?" He asked them.

Raven smiled, "Taylor yay you came, I was bored. No I am not ok I'm so sick right now." she coughed hugging her friend.

Taylor smiled then look at the new kid, "who you callin a bozo!? You should watch what you say," He threatened the boy.

(Um, Marcus is actually a 7th year. lol. Max is the first year.)

"I could say the same for you." Marcus responded, in reference to what was said about Becca and Delilah. snickering.

"You do have a point," Taylor agreed. The worst thing for Taylor is going to get into a fight so he just kept it low.

Marcus nodded in response, signifying that he wasn't offended. That's the closest to an apology one can ever get out of a Slytherin, which he knew from past experiences. He then looked back at Delilah and Becca. "See? It comes with practice."

Michael Blackwood entered the class, glancing about the room. The snake fang earring in his ear jingled lightly as he searched for an open seat. Muffled footfalls, made heavy-sounding due to the motorcycle boots he wore, could be heard as he approached.

He was still fairly new here, what with having transferred to Hogwarts from his school in America back in September.

As there was a conversation in progress, the Hufflepuff decided not to interrupt. According to his schedule class wouldn't have started yet, which assured him he was early. He took a seat a little ways away from the cluster already gathered and retrieved from his bag a set of guitar picks, fiddling with his favorite one: it was red as blood, and instead of holding it could easily be slipped onto his fingertip almost like a ring.

Now if only he'd brought the guitar to go with it... and it wasn't during class hours.

Marcus looked over at the Hufflepuff who just walked in. "Why hello." He asked. "What's your name?

Michael looked up from his hands and focused on the other student, a slight smile on his face. The snake fang earring in his left ear swung this way and that with the movement. "Hi. Name's Michael Blackwood," he introduced himself congenially, still fiddling with the guitar pick. "And you are...?"

"Macus Kidd." Marcus replied, putting a hand out for him to shake. "Nice to meet you. I've never seen you around here before. you new here?"

Michael slipped the guitar pick back into its case and then took the other boy's hand to shake. "Likewise," he said, the smile twisting his lips to a much more noticeable degree.

"Might say... I just transferred to here from America this year. My dad got a promotion and we had to move," the Hufflepuff explained, keeping his voice between neutral and jovial. It wasn't that he disliked Hogwarts. Far from it, for he'd never been in a castle before... but Michael was a bit annoyed at his father.

"Really?" Marcus stated. "What is it your father does for a living?" he asked curiously.

Raven yawned loudly making it noticeable, "When is the professor coming!? I'm bored!" she complained closing her book and leaning back. She gave a small cough and waited impatiently for the teacher. She noticed the Hufflepuff student, but she obviously didn't care and didn't want to talk.

Cosette sat there shaking her head thinking Raven could be a little bit more patient, but what could she do, Raven is a slytherin there very stubborn at times.

Marcus rolled his eyes and chuckled as Raven spoke her thoughts out loud at the other table. "Don't worry about her." He told Michael, quietly. "She's a Slytherin, and most Slytherins are naturally impatient."

"Healing," Michael stated automatically. "He works at that one in London now... St. Mungo's, right? I'm still fairly new here..."

His head turned at the sudden outburst from the Slytherin, though rolled his eyes. 'It's school - of course you're bored,' the teenager thought privately.

Michael shrugged as though unfazed by Raven's spoken musings. "Bella Rosier seems patient enough and she's in Slytherin; her friend is another story, though," he replied with a lightness to his voice. "Different strokes for different folks, I guess."
