The "Garden"/Patch of dirt around tower

"Like to fly do you?" Diana said. Within seconds, she'd a crossbow in her hands. Where it came from, only Diana knew. "Let me put you to sleep then, permanently." She aimed and shot.

Darien hissed as the bolt from the crossbow grazed his wing.

He landed on the alter and returned to his human self. "Very well."

He grinned and hurtled forwards at superhuman speed, skidding round to the left of Diana and aiming a powerful kick at her side.

With her trainning, Diana was able to watch what Darien did in slow motion - a skill that let her dodge out of the way just in the nick of time.

"Could you be any slower?" Diana said rounding on Darien. "I think my grandfather could fight quicker than you." Actually... now that she thought about it, he probably could.

"Well maybe I should meet this grandaddy of yours...I could do with a snack." Darien smirked. "And old cheeses do taste better...maybe it's the same with blood..."

He lunged at her again, lashing out with both feet, wings springing into existence from his shoulder blades, keeping his balance.

Alright, this guy was getting at her nerves, first he tries and eats Nicolas, not that she really cared about that but he was still a Casillas but her grandfather too? Someone needed to teach this boy a lesson.

Diana rounded him so that she'd be behind him. Before he could figured out what she'd just done, she got out her mini-cross-bow and shot at Darien. "Eat this!"

Darien swung his body to the left, but the bolt embedded itself in his shoulder. He hissed in pain and anger and leapt into the air. He needed to get it out of him asap...

He landed on the platform and grinned. One foot on the centre stone, he glanced down at Diana.

"You know...He put up an awful fight...I'd have thought you'd choose guys with more courage. His screams were embarrasing to say the least...No one likes prey that begs for survival. Pitiful, cowardly humans. Pitiful, cowardly little Jess."

He laughed, replacd his other foot on the centre stone, and descended into the lair.

Darien could not have given a more hurtful blow.

She felt like she just gotten run over by the Knight Bus. Her heart dropped and her eyes saw red.

She dropped her cross-bow and started to scale the wall. In her agitated state, she reached the top in no time. She tried to enter the lair. Her brain didn't seem to want to work properly, all it was telling her to do was to kill Darien Vaight, it didn't register that she'd just be climbing into a pit full of bloodsuckers and she'd be their dinner, she didn't seem to care... Darien Vaight was DEAD!

However...

Darien downed the blood in a milisecond, entered and kicked the door shut with his foot.

He then pulled his wand out of a pocket, and locked the door behind him. No slayers were getting in until he'd taken this out of his shoulder.

He sighed and headed to his room.

Diana screamed in frustration as the door did not open. She wanted to cause as much pain as possible for the vampires that laid beneath. She tried several tactics in an attempt to enter the lair but all was naught. She was there, perhaps thirty minutes, perhaps more try to gnaw her way in but it just wouldn't budge.

She left not because she had given up, but because she finally remembered her cousin was in fact hurt.

"Bloody..."

She decended and went to look for Nick.
