My Office

Kiara sighed "Still I am sorry I couldn't have been more help"

Then a Idea entered her head. " You should know, if you ever want to visit Nice to spend time with Edwin and Esis just say so, I am sure we could work something out"

Eglantine smiled. "Thank you. That is very thoughtful of you."

Kiara smiled, glad Eglantine smiled at the idea.

"Anytime, I know how hard it is to be seperated... Elsis and Edwin are also welcome to visit here anytime they want as well"

Then snape walked back inside is portrail and noded to Kiara.

"Thanks Sev..erus"

Snape rolled is eyes "The things I do for you" he mumbled.

Eglantine moved her chair back. "Thank you for seeing me, Kiara. And for giving me permission to invite Esis to visit again."

Kiara nodded "Of course, Esis is more then welcome to come back anytime, we are in her debt for all she has done. Is there anything else on your mind or are you going to turn in?"

"I believe I will turn in. Good-night, Kiara." Eglantine gave the younger woman a smile and gently rolled out of the room.

((After the chat with Snape))

Viper approached Kiara's office intending to have a few words but was immediately blocked off by the gargoyles guarding her office. "What the hell?" she hissed.

She waved her hand, casting a spell to find out why she was being denied and within minutes she was granted information. She glared for a moment before calling out loudly. "You know, I really hope nothing horrible happens to a student while I am unable to contact the Headmistress!" she said dryly, amused by the strange looks other students were giving her.

Kiara felt the wards she placed up around the gargoyal activate.

"Ah I see she found out" Kiara waved her hand droping the wards around the gargoyal and said "Let her in"

((The gargoyal moves aside))

"Finally!" Viper muttered as she entered the office, her courtesy surfacing as she knocked on the door patiently instead of barging in as much as she wanted to.

Kiara sighed at the knock on the door she could practically here Viper seething.

Glancing over she saw snape back in his normal protrait. "Well at least I will have a witness if she kills me.." she thought to her self.

"Come in Viper"

Viper entered the office with a smile. Good evening, Kiara." she greeted pleasantly. She paused as she noticed Snape in his protrait, her smile turning into one of amusement as she guessed the reason for his return. "Have no fear, Professor Snape. I merely wanted to ask Kiara why she feels the need to have you following me around everywhere." she explained as she looked to Kiara for answers.

Kiara thought for a second on how to word it.

"I sent him to gather information for me... I am concered Viper that you are going down a dangerous road. One I can't let you go down, we have all been into the dark arts, some more then others but we all have. However I can't let you dive to deep into them..... Simply put my trust in you has wavered" Kiara said truthfully.

((yes kiara was into the dark arts, that is why I brought in snape.. you will see))

Viper sighed. "There is no proof of that. I admit, my potions do go beyond what is approved but all for a good cause."

Kiara stared at Viper with a critical eye, something was just screaming at her that something was wrong, well maybe not wrong but certain air of dark around her. Something was just off, and plus the coment made in Vipers office between her and Cerise had been disturbing aswell. She was certain something was going and it was happening right under her nose. She just didn't know what....

"It isn't about your potions Viper, I have nothing against them, I quite admire your aptitude for them. It is just your aditude towards recent events you seemed almost amused......" she let her sentence drop.

Viper was right there was no proof of it, but her feelings were just screaming that she was on the right track.

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Amused at what? Amused at the fact the it was finally getting into your head that Professor Delanquar was a threat to the students?" she asked, trying to make sense of Kiara's reasoning. After all, Viper had been fairly careful in covering her tracks.

"Don't start that again, it is over and done with.... but now the news artical of Charilty's death you seemed almost amused when I showed it to you"

Viper shrugged. "She wasn't a particularly nice person, Kiara. Ask anyone who ever had to work with her. I don't mean to spit on the dead, but in all honesty, she was a horrendous woman. I'm sorry she died, especially in that manner, but I cannot pretend to mourn for her."

((Different time... Professor McKevin needs to make his first appearance someday...))

Horatio McKevin knocked loudly on the thick door. He remembered the last time he had entered the Headmaster's office; it had been for punching a fellow student. Now he was going to meet the Headmistress. A woman named Kiara, if his memory served him correctly. Sounded pleasant enough in her letters. For a moment he wondered why she did not use a last name and curious as always, he had already planned to find out.

((Viper's time line))

Kiara sighed she wasn't going to win this, not yet anyway, she resolved to keep her eyes opened, she made a mistake in jumping right into this.

"Fine you win Viper, I am sorry, your converstion with cerise, made me suspsious on top of everything else"

((Professer McKevins enterence))

Kiara lifted her head at the knock.

"Must the new History of magic Professor" she said to her self as she waved her hand at the door.

"Come on in it is opened"

Horatio entered the room, bowing deeply at the waist.

"A pleasure to meet you, my lady." He smiled, broadly. As was his natural custom, he often allowed his rather out dated customs of manner to surface when excited. "I trust you are well and strong."
Thankfully he caught himself before taking her hand to kiss it and instead gave it a firm, but gentle shake.

"Kiara, that was all a bluff to distract her, gain the upperhand." Viper explained, having the feeling the Kiara was still a bit suspicious.

((Viper's visit))

Kiara nodded "Yes I suppose you are right.. forgive me" kiara trying to think of a way to change the topic. "Paranioa is common among auror I suppose, although am usually able to to surpress mine a bit"

Secretly Kiara instincts were still screaming, but for now she would have to keep silent about them and wait until they were confirmed.

((Professor McKevin))

Kiara smiled "Thank you Professor, same to you as well, please have a seat" she said as she conjured a chair wandlessly.

Ever since she harmed her shoulder wandless magic seem to became second nature to her now.

Horatio took the seat and folded his large hands over his knees.

"I will be honest with you, Headmistress. I joined your teaching staff for two reasons and only one of them was to teach this current generation." Honesty was the best and only policy, was one of his favourite mottos.
"I belonged to a select group of researchers for several decades and just recently was informed that crucial parts of our research was stolen roughly forty or so years ago. I have tracked the thief all around the world, but he has evaded me quite skillfully. Finally a few months ago I received a letter from a former colleague that the thief had given his research to a staff member here at Hogwarts."

Fishing through his pockets, Horatio yanked out a muggle photograph. "He sent this as well. Unfortunately I was unable to identify them. Do you recognize these people?" he asked, handing the picture to Kiara.

Kiara looked at the photo, "Umm yes I know the women in the photo is Eglantine Delanquar she it the transfigurations professor here, I assume the man in the phote was her husband. What research is it you are looking for may I ask?"

"DeLanquar? Strange." Horatio muttered. "I assumed one of them was the staff member at Hogwarts who had been given the research. But I've never heard of an Eglantine DeLanquar. You said the man was her husband. Am I safe in the assumption that he is no longer living?" Horatio inwardly groaned. He had not expected to discover that his thief had possibly sent the research to a man who may be dead. Between wills and heirs, the research could have very well been lost after his death.

"The research is mainly on a rather sensitive field. Several medical potions and spells. Of course there is one that I would not want to fall into the wrong hands. An untested spell which we believed may be able to fulfill the caster's deepest desire. Rather dangerous, eh?" He chuckled. "Of course we doubt it would really work."
